I know I told myself to devote today to studying for some upcoming tests but it's gorgeous and sunny outside, the birds are chirping, and I can't study on a Friday! But I also know that there's no other time than the present.  I've basically been spending the last few days at work again to fix up some things with the head cashier (this was on my own time too, I deserve overtime muahaha). It's a good thing that my workplace and school are only a few blocks away from each other though... anyway, on my last trip to work during the week, a Spanish couple approached me asking, in fluent Spanish, which bus would take them to las caratas. I had no clue what that word meant and they didn't quite understand when I told them that there were only streetcars running and not buses. Turns out that after a little translation with my co-workers, they were tourists staying at the hotel and were supposed to be going to Niagra Falls that day with the rest of their group (and believe me, nothing in the area would've taken them that far!) At least I tried my best to help them but a note to self: keep working on your Spanish.

Also had my first day of volunteering with the kids yesterday. It was pretty fun at first and they seemed to listen to me until the staff member I was working with had to leave and she actually told them I was in charge so let's just say that clean up time was not very fun at all.  Overall, it was an exhausting afternoon filled with serving food, water bottle fights, tag at the park, and some messy arts and crafts! But hopefully once I get some schoolwork out of the way, I'll be back (and I'll take the streetcar both ways 'cause there were too many crackheads in that area during the day). And thanks to the kids, I cured my insomnia and fell asleep at midnight on the couch instead of at 2 a.m. Alright, like this entry, procrastination time is over.

It's 1 a.m. and I can't sleep despite yawning all day... maybe it was the chocolate milk I had. Mmm, gotta love chocolate milk.

Woke up this morning and ran some errands and then headed to the mall, only to wait almost half an hour just for the freakin' bus going there to come! I really hope I can get my car insurance by the end of this week so this doesn't have to happen again.  So I ended up buying everything except for what I had intended to buy... but I did manage to find a mirror for my locker at work, so score? I had to show a sales associate at my driver's license at one store and she actually went, "you look older than your birthday on here". Uh, come again? I'm usually told that I don't even look old enough to even have a driver's license!  I think from now on I really am going to appreciate being told I look young for my age 'cause it sounds a lot better than being told that! Oh well, since I was less successful with this trip than anticipated, I guess I'm just going to have to make another trip soon...

I think I actually miss school. So lately I've been feeding my mind with readings about astrology, religions, human resources (my minor next year) and I've finally started reading 100 Years of Solitude. Oh, and I finally got the time to fix my digital camera after almost a year and after we all lost hope, go me!

to-do-to-day: call Avinash . Stefan's b-day . pack for Mahy's . manicure & pedicure . spray shoes . keep cleaning .

So tomorrow is officially my first day of summer and I'm already bored! This weekend I had absolutely nothing to do at work but actually... work.  And socialize, of course! But it wasn't a bad weekend, despite being avoided by my co-workers yesterday as if I had the plague instead of just recovering from a cold. But apparently since my voice sounded lower ("the sexy sick voice" hehe) I was still sick.  Other than that though, work was fun and I got spoiled with lotsss of desserts this weekend muahaha.

I'm also getting started on my list of things to do for summer '05, including a massive spring cleaning of my room! I'm already liking this much needed extra drawer and closet space that's coming along.

Oh, and I've been told that I should've been born a blonde way too many times this weekend.

So I'm still sick.  So therefore I couldn't go to my last exam (okay okay, and my stupidity was a part of it too). I ended up meeting my girls earlier than planned and had a super time shopping , refusing newspapers from "homeless guys", eating at our new restaurant, getting lost, learning about cultures in a coffee shop and much more! And I got my alll black Pumas, yay!

Highlights:

-"You're acting like a bitch, Joanne"
-"Really? Thank you!"
-"You know you love a man in a suit"
-"They're holding the event right after the Home Opener Game"
-"Is Sears is just opening?"
-"Bababababa!"
-"Sometimes you just wanna say 'don't look at me, I'm too old for you'"
-"Gladys this smells nice!" "I agree Pearl!"
-"What was that guy doing? Touching himself?"
-"Come on take one, I have to hold these newspapers all day"
-"Yeah, but that's your job"
-"Hey guys, I think I might still be sick by tomor - ACHOO!"
-"I'd like a Passionate Kiss please... I'm sorry that sounds weird"
-"I think I'll have T3 for lunch"
-"You're having some COUGHee?"
-"That's where you met that guy with cornrolls"
-"You look like her"
-"But I think I'm more like the other one"
-"Just take the compliment!"
-"That's a cute shirt"
-"That's a purse"
-"I want to smell like dirt!"
-"Do all Indian guys come from Africa?"
-"If you don't let the TTC guy in the front of the line, you can't get on the train"
-"It says pull the tab"
-"I don't think that's the right one"
-"But the label says so!" *pulls the tab* "Oh no you guys, I broke it!" *stuffs tag back in puppet's head*

Ah, April 20th, a day I'll never forget because of  last year. That's why I decided to start my xanga today 'cause it's a special day.   Thanks to all of the lovely weather changes, I woke up at 6 a.m. only to find myself sick. After coming home from my accounting exam, there were about 10 delays on the train due to a power outage somewhere and then it was pouring rain when I got off the bus.  But the odd thing is that I ran into my best friend in junior high(!) today and my friend applied for a job with my old HR manager and apparently they talked about me for a bit.  What a small world, huh!

So after taking some medicine that made me way too drowsy and counterbalancing it with some caffeine (hey, it worked!) I'm forcing myself to study for my LAST exam of the semester. I can't I'm going to be entering my third year of university next year though.  I know tomorrow will be a better day because I get to hang out with my two best girls and celebrate the end with some shopping and new shoes, yay!
